We are looking for a Registered Nurse with strong ICU or Surgical neuro experience & a true passion in the area.

Summary

This role is responsible for coordinating and managing the care of neurosurgical patients, ensuring seamless communication between patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team. The RN Neurosurgical Coordinator will oversee patient education, preoperative and postoperative planning, and continuity of care to optimize patient outcomes.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for neurosurgical patients and their families.

  • Coordinate preoperative assessments, surgical scheduling, and post operative follow-up care.

  • Educate patients and families about procedures, expectations, and recovery.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologist, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Monitor patient progress and address concerns to enhance clinical outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital and programmatic protocols and regulations.

  • Actively participate in quality improvement and strategic growth initiatives.

Employment Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:

2 Year/ Associates Degree

Specialty/Major:

Nursing

Preferred Education:

4 year/ Bachelors Degree

Licensure/Certification Required:

Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio

Minimum Years and Type of Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of neurosurgical, perioperative, or critical care nursing experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Strong communication, organizational, and patient advocacy skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
