Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
According to departmental policies and professional standards, performs and reviews various complex clinical laboratory procedures in one or more sections of Laboratory without direct supervision.
Employment Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act & Amendments (CLIA) or has successfully completed the undergraduate curriculum, including all required clinical rotations, as specified in an accelerated BS/MS program in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and is continuing in a master's level program to complete all requirements of the dual degree.
EXPERIENCE: Experience preferred, but not required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: National Board certified or eligible for national certification as an MT or CLS (MT/ASCP or CLS/ASCP) or Categorical Certification in the related clinical laboratory discipline.
