Dispatch PRN

Dispatcher receives requests for transport and coordinates available resources for multiple service lines, including emergency, non-emergency, and special transport requests. Is responsible for receiving, coordinating, and disseminating critical information from various sources, including emergency and non-emergency requests for services. Coordinates all aspects of the transport and monitors the location of all units at all times following all safety practices. Will evaluate deployment plans and resource performance to best meet unit resource allocation to meet customer demand and to facilitate the best patient care possible.

Coordinate transport arrangements between requesting parties and the agency by supporting activities, documenting, and monitoring all assignments.

Licensing/ Certification - If registration, certification or licensure is required, include the name of the accrediting or licensing body.

Licensure/Certification Required:

IS 100, IS 700, HCP CPR, EMD within 6 months, CFC certification within 1 year, and pass initial Operations Control Specialist within 18 month and annually, and must maintain all requirements throughout employment

Licensure/Certification Preferred:

Previous Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) dispatching experience or previous EMS/Law Enforcement dispatching preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Experience:

1-3 years

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Must be able to type accurately 25-30 wpm and excel in customer service. Must be able to access appropriate applications and have the ability to learn and use a Computer aided dispatch system.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

Continuing education to maintain all required certifications.
