Part Time Position - 24 hours per week

This role will support both administrative and clinical duties in the occupational health service line. They will provide operational support through coordination of care and ensure required documentation and reporting is achieved. This position plays a key role in the coordination of various occupational health services including, but not limited to, drug screening, substance abuse testing, workers compensation assessments and beyond.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provides patient care according to provider instructions and clinical protocols within their scope of training or certification within the occupational health service line

  • Performs basic office functions such as answering phones, addressing client questions, scheduling, filing, coordinating efficient patient flow

  • Responsible for coordination of care (scheduling, testing, reporting) and obtaining records for patients referred to a specialist, diagnostics, therapy, etc.

  • Initiates and maintains appropriate documentation while maintaining a comprehensive filing system for correspondence, records, and administrative data with systematic indexing

  • Maintains appropriate inventory of all laboratory and testing supplies to perform services such as, but not limited to, vision & hearing screenings, spirometry, EKG, drug & alcohol screens, and more

  • Collaborates with billing to ensure accuracy with financial aspects of service line

  • Supports on-site service coordination within client companies, which may include on-call and/or after-hours

Licensing/Certification

  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association required

  • BAT, DOT Urine Drug Screen, PFT, Hearing Conservation, Medical Coder preferred

Education

  • High School Diploma required

  • Associates Degree preferred

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience in industry or an office or medical environment preferred

Training

  • SYSTOC Electronic Health Record preferred

  • OSHA recordability, access to care, obtaining authorization, Workers Comp Preferred

  • Hair, Saliva, DOT Urine and BAT Collection Preferred

  • Office Operations Preferred
